“Donkey Bakery” operates as a Social and Community Development Company. They employ people with disabilities – the majority being hearing and physically impaired. “Donkey Bakery” was founded by Marc Stenfert Kroese, and Luyen Shell in August, 2009 with the ambition to prove that people with disabilities can successfully be part of a competitive business environment. Eighty percent of our staff have disabilities. An educational program teaches their employees to be able to bake and cook, to deliver, to sell, to serve their customers and to also speak English. Especially employees are taught business skills such as quality control, hygiene, adhering to their enterprise processes and guidelines, meeting deadlines and to function as a highly professional team.
