Major contract awards for Comin Asia Power T&D
Posted on: July 1, 2016
We are proud to announce being awarded 2 major projects for our Power T&D division:
The upgrade of three 115kV grid substations GS1, GS2 and GS3, in Phnom Penh, from single busbar scheme to double busbar scheme. This 36 months contract will be executed in live substations in a sequential manner to minimize the shutdown time while maintaining the electricity supply in Phnom Penh city. Our OHSAS 18001:2007 Health and Safety management system will definitely be a plus to insure zero casualty in this live substation environment. For the first time in Cambodia, Hybrid GIS equipment – a compact technology designed for constrained space requirements in urban area – will be used. Once completed, EDC will operate the network in Phnom Penh with higher safety and reliability.
The “500kV Pleiku 2” in Vietnam, an extension of an existing 500kV substation that will allow both Vietnam and Lao networks to be interconnected. This project has been declared by the prime minister office as a national priority. This second 500kV project secured by Comin Asia will contribute to build-up the company eligibility on the highly selective 500kV market.
