Michael is Irish and has 10 years’ experience in the Middle East where he has successfully delivered projects across various countries and sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, oil and gas, data centres and commercial developments including the iconic Bahrain World Trade Centre. After several successful projects in a Project Manager and Project Director role Michael took over as regional Construction Director for Mercury MENA and was instrumental in breaking into the UAE market and the delivery of Mercury’s first projects in Abu Dhabi
Country Manager, Cambodia
Ngorn Saing has been CEO of RMA Cambodia since December, 2014. Saing joined RMA Cambodia as an intern in 1996 and progressed rapidly through the organization thereafter, holding senior positions in accounting and finance. Saing was appointed Deputy Country Manager and CFO of RMA Cambodia in 2007. Saing has helped grow the business and supported its diversification from a primarily Automotive and Power Generation business, into serving the needs of customers in Cambodia. Saing is a graduate of the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh, with a degree in Economics and an MBA in International Business, from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He was also the first Cambodian national to attend the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
Power T&D Division Director
Frederic was born in 1966, France. He is a French citizen. His education includes: A-Level in Natural Science and Physics (Nice, France -1984), Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Physics (Nice, France – 1987), Master Degree in Automation and Numerical Control (Nancy, France – 1989), Post-Graduate Diploma in CIM and Industrial Automation (Nancy, France – 1990), Post-Graduate Diploma in Business and Administration (Nice, France – 1991). His profesional experience includes: Process Engineer, Telemecanique France (1989), European Technical Support Engineer and European Marketing Engineer Texas Instruments France (1990-1991), Consultant, CAPSA Conseil France (1992), Company Consultant, PC Warehouse France (1992-1994), Sales and Project Manager, CENES Engineering and Trading Vietnam (1994-1996), Chief Representative Ho Chi Minh City Office (since 1996), Director-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Branch Office (since 1998).
General Manager, Laos
Yvan has joined Comin Asia at the very start of the company operations in Laos in 2013, as Business Development Manager. After successfully developing the teams and the company activities in the country, he was appointed General Manager of Comin Lao in 2018. Prior to joining Comin, Yvan spent 5 years in Vientiane as the Head of Electrical Department of SBL, a major distributor of building and electrical material representing brands including Legrand, Schneider and Sika. Yvan holds a Master I Degree in Sales Engineering and a Master II in International Business. He is also Board Member of the Eurocham in Laos.
General Manager, Power Transmission & Distribution
Arjun has more than 15+ years’ experience in Transmission and Distribution sector. Prior to joining Comin Arjun worked with major international companies like Atkins UK, AF consult Switzerland ltd, Vedanta Resources, India. Arjun was instrumental in leading the Atkins T&D business in India and UK, he was part of iconic projects like cross country electricity connection between Mozambique and Zambia and Nairobi ring project. He has worked for major utilities around the world, National Grid UK, ATCO Electric Canada, Uganda Electricity Transmission Company, Transmission Company of Nigeria, Kenya Lighting and Power Company, Electricity du Laos, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company UAE, Federal Electricity and Water Authority UAE, National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd, Power grid corporation of India, and various state electricity boards in India. Arjun completed Master of Business Administration (Operation Management) from The Institute of Management and Technology in Ghaziabad, India. Bachelor of Engineering on Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Biju Patanaik Technical University in Odisha, India, and diploma on Electrical Engineering.
Trading Division Manager
Sokveasna YIM has joined Comin Khmere since June 2015 as Trading division manager. Veasna experienced working with Comin Khmere during the year of 2000 to 2005 as section manager in automotive section before leaving to join other companies. Graduated from Pinsk Pedagogy and technical institute, Belarus (former in USSR) with excellent diploma in automotive servicing engineer, Veasna started his first career in general direction of construction as deputy workshop manager in the enterprise of construction equipment and transportation, later promoted to planning and operation department manager (1987-1996). From 1996 to 2000 and from 2005 to 2009 Veasna experienced working with Metro group (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, a Caterpillar dealer in Cambodia from first job as technical communicator, to sales manager and later from 2005- 2009 as service manager. During working with Caterpillar dealer as service manager, Veasna spent his free time at the weekend to study bachelor degree of technology in the field of mechanical engineer and was graduated in 2009 at National Polytechnic Institute of Cambodia (NPIC). From 2009 to 2015 prior to join back to Comin Khmere, Veasna worked with DKSH Cambodia, as general manager in technology business unit. During the past 33 years, Veasna had worked in various institutions and companies in leadership role, sales and marketing, maintenance and servicing and in a similar business relating to automotive and heavy construction equipment with various brands such as Maz, Kamaz, Caterpillar, Cummins, Bomag, Doosan, AtlasCopco, Himoinsa etc.
Service Division Manager
Sovannarith joined Comin Khmere in February 2002 as a Project Manager and since then he has professionally grown within the company by providing his expertise in engineering solutions, maintenance services to a wide range of corporate customers and projects in many sectors. From September 2009 to February 2012, he has served as Maintenance Manager of Comin Asia, Bangkok and Thailand where he had successfully provided TFM solutions to the Ford factory, a joint project with PCS. Upon returning to Cambodia, he served as a Deputy Divisional Manager before his appointment to his current role as the Services Division Manager, Comin Khmere/Comin Asia Prior to joining Comin Khmere, Sovannarith was an Electrical Engineer of Thaisemcon (Sumitomo) project with Japanese Embassy based in Cambodia. Sovannarith has a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NTTI, a Master degree of Information Technology from Build Bright University Cambodia and also completed Organizational Leadership program from National University of Singapore.
Keith Gardner has been the CFO of Comin Asia since July, 2018. Prior to joining Comin, Keith spent 3 years as Group CFO at Chip Mong Group, one of the country’s largest family owned groups with businesses ranging from property development to the manufacturing and distribution of building materials. Keith also brought with him over 30 years’ experience in senior financial roles in Asia and Europe with both listed multinational and family owned groups. He has spent most of his career in the Automotive sector with Inchcape, a dealer group representing brands including JLR and Toyota, and Lei Shing Hong a dealer for Mercedes Benz and distributor for Caterpillar heavy equipment. Keith holds Bachelor degree in Business & Accounting from Edinburgh University. He also attended Leadership Course in Columbia University with International Management Course from Ashridge.
