Comin Asia Joins Forces with Australia to Promote Energy Efficiency in Cambodia’s Agro-Processing Sector

Comin Asia is proud to collaborate with Australia through the Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAPRED) to support the Energy Service Company (ESCO) Pilot Demonstration Project, which aims to promote the adoption of Energy Efficiency in the Agro-Processing Sector.

As Cambodia’s economy continues to grow, energy demand is rising across industries—particularly in agro-processing. The ESCO Model presents a sustainable solution to improve energy efficiency while reducing operational costs and environmental impact. However, the ESCO market in Cambodia is still at an early stage, and this pilot program—supported by Australia through CAPRED—aims to demonstrate its viability and lay the groundwork for future development.

Our Role in the ESCO Pilot Program

Comin Asia has been selected to conduct Investment Grade Energy Audits for a portfolio of multiple agro-processing facilities across Cambodia. This follows preliminary Level 2 audits and will allow us to deliver detailed technical, financial, and implementation assessments.

In the next phase, Comin will:

• Design tailored energy efficiency solutions based on audit results.
• Prepare engineering specifications and procurement plans.
• Implement energy-saving measures, such as equipment upgrades and system optimization.
• Manage construction and oversee installation activities.
• Collaborate closely with CAPRED experts for capacity building and knowledge sharing on ESCO design and project delivery.
