Transition from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001

In March 2018, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) introduced the new ISO 45001 standard, effectively replacing the previous OHSAS 18001 standard established by the British Standards Institute. Comin Asia, having previously adhered to the OHSAS 18001 standard, successfully transitioned to the ISO 45001 framework under the guidance of Bureau Veritas Thailand in October 2023. The certification for ISO 45001 will be officially issued to Comin Asia in February 2024.

Company Prestige and Open New Opportunities:

We are delighted to announce that we recently completed the final assessment audit conducted by Bureau Veritas Thailand in October 2023. This audit marked the achievement of the first ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certification in Laos and Cambodia, as well as a surveillance audit for ISO 9001 (Quality Management System).

Our commitment to excellent safety practices positions us favorably to secure new projects, particularly for clients who prioritize meticulous and demanding occupational health and safety requirements. Companies with a strong safety record or ISO 45001 certification are highly regarded and respected. Furthermore, ISO 45001 certification serves as a powerful marketing tool, enabling us to acquire more projects for Comin Asia.
